Job summary

Jefferson County Schools' Blue Ridge Elementary in Harpers Ferry, WV, seeks a Cook II to join the school nutrition program. This is a full-time, non-exempt role with a 6:30 AM–1:30 PM schedule, starting immediately and covering 200+ days annually.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent per WV Code §18A-2-5.
• Criminal background check per WV Code §18-5-15c.
• State-approved competency test per WV Code §18A-4-8e.

Responsibilities

• Review weekly menus for food preparation planning.
• Prepare a variety of menu items for daily service.
• Maintain temperature readings.
• Assist with inventory, data entry, and special events.
• Ensure sanitation and safety in the kitchen.
