Job summary

Columbia Hospitality is seeking a friendly server to take orders, serve food and beverages, and ensure a superior guest experience in a fast-paced dining environment. This role includes entering orders into the POS, communicating special requests to the kitchen, and maintaining a clean, organized area.

Applicants should have prior server experience, working knowledge of dining and beverage service, and familiarity with liquor laws and food safety. Weekend mornings shift availability is required.

Qualifications

• Experience as a server in a similar restaurant environment.
• Ability to operate the computerized Point of Sale system.
• Knowledge of dining and beverage service procedures.
• Knowledge of applicable liquor laws and regulations.
• State Food Handler’s Licenses and Liquor Permits.

Responsibilities

• Takes orders and serves food and beverage items to guests in accordance with established standards.
• Enters orders into the POS system and communicates any special requests to the culinary team.
• Assembles food items, such as appetizers, salads and soups.
• Ensures attractive, consistent presentation of food and beverages. Ensures that all items are served at the correct temperature.
• Maintains current knowledge of menu changes and sold-out items.
• Processes guest payments, using proper accounting and cash handling procedures.
• Keeps work area clean and organized.
