Job summary

TPG Hotels & Resorts in Saunderstown, RI is seeking a Restaurant Server to deliver an exceptional dining experience by greeting guests, seating them, taking orders, and serving food and beverages with warmth and efficiency.

You will know the menu, upsell thoughtfully, maintain clean tables, process payments, and collaborate with the kitchen and staff to ensure accurate orders and outstanding guest satisfaction at all times.

Qualifications

• High school education or related experience is required.
• Alcohol awareness certification preferred.
• Knowledge of hospitality industry practices.
• Ability to take orders accurately and handle payments.
• Adherence to cash handling and accounting procedures.

Responsibilities

• Greeting and Seating guests, escorting to tables and presenting menus.
• Take food and beverage orders and input accurately into the ordering system.
• Serve food and drinks promptly and ensure correct presentation.
• Know the menu, ingredients, and specials; offer recommendations.
• Upsell appetizers, sides, desserts, and beverages to enhance experience.
• Maintain clean, properly set tables and reset for new guests.
• Engage with guests to address questions and ensure satisfaction.
• Present bills, process payments, and handle receipts or credit slips.
• Collaborate with kitchen staff, bussers, and servers for smooth service.
• Adhere to sanitation and hygiene standards in the dining area.
• Assist with special events, parties, and catering as needed.
