Job summary

Personal Healthcare Management LLC seeks a dietary cook in Cambridge, MA. Must have a Serve Safe certificate to apply. Responsibility includes meal prep, menu planning, and strict sanitary handling to meet hospital standards.

Minimum 1 year dietary experience in a hospital or related medical facility is preferred. Ability to cook large quantities and cooperate with other departments is essential. Strong compensation and benefits are offered.

Qualifications

• 1 year dietary experience in a hospital, skilled nursing care facility, or other related medical facility preferred but not required.
• Must be able to cook a variety of foods in large quantities.
• Serve Safe certificate required to apply.

Responsibilities

• Review menu prior to preparation of food.
• Assist in planning regular and special diet menus in accordance with sanitary regulations
• Assist in establishing food service production to assure that meals are prepared on time
• Prepare meals that are palatable and appetizing in appearance
• Prepare food in accordance with recipes and special diets
• Prepare substitute foods
• Serve safe certificate preferred in accordance with established portion control procedures
• Coordinate dietary services with other departments as necessary
• Assist in inventorying and storing in-coming food, supplies, etc. as necessary
• Ensure that food and supplies for the next meal are readily available
• Make sure that all food items are properly stored, covered and dated in all refrigerators
• Ensure that the kitchen is maintained in a clean and safe manner by assuring that necessary equipment are maintained
• Assist maintain food storage areas in a clean and properly arranged manner at all times
• Report all hazardous conditions/equipment to the FSD or designee.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds
