Job summary

Gordon Food Service is hiring for a Freight Handler at our Concord, NC distribution center. You will unload pallets from trailers, break down product for correct pallet configuration, and stage inbound freight by item code. No experience required; training provided.

Must be able to work in cold to hot environments, weekends/holidays, and pass a drug test plus background check. High school or equivalent preferred; English reading/writing required.

Qualifications

• Must be able to read, write and communicate in English.
• Ability to work in a fast paced, physically demanding environment.
• High School or equivalent preferred.

Responsibilities

• Breaks down pallets for correct configuration.
• Separate inbound freight by item code onto pallets.
• Ensure damaged product is not received into inventory.
• Maintain organized, clean work area and wrap finished pallets.
• Follow safety regulations and adapt to varying shift demands.
