Job summary

Bell and Evans is seeking a Cafe Receiver/Dishwasher for the 1st shift in Fredericksburg, PA. The role supports daily kitchen operations by receiving, inspecting, and storing deliveries, rotating stock, and assisting with dishwashing. Strong attention to detail and the ability to work with vendors are essential.

The position is full-time and on-site, with hours from 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM. Candidates should be able to read invoices and follow food safety procedures while maintaining organized

Qualifications

• Reading invoices, packing slips, and product information.
• Follow food safety procedures and inventory rotation practices.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently.

Responsibilities

• Receive and check in food, beverage, and supply deliveries from approved vendors.
• Verify deliveries against invoices, purchase orders, and packing slips to ensure quantities and items are accurate.
• Inspect products for quality, freshness, proper temperatures, damage, and expiration dates.
• Report missing items, incorrect orders, damaged products, or other delivery concerns to the supervisor.
• Transport and store deliveries in designated refrigerators, freezers, dry storage areas, and supply locations.
• Rotate inventory using FIFO to ensure older products are used before newer stock.
• Check existing inventory for expiration dates, product quality, and proper storage.
• Maintain organized, clean, and sanitary storage areas.
• Follow all food safety, sanitation, temperature control, and proper food handling procedures.
• Assist with dishwashing and general kitchen cleaning duties as needed.
• Communicate inventory shortages and supply needs to the Executive Chef or supervisor.
• Perform other duties as assigned based on business needs.
