Job summary

The University of Kansas Health System in Salina is seeking a Custodian to maintain cleanliness across offices, classrooms, labs, and common spaces. You will perform routine cleaning, organize room setups for events, and handle minor repairs and painting as required.

Responsibilities include dusting, sanitation, inventory management, and supporting various discretionary maintenance tasks. The position operates 6 a.m. to 3 p.m., with overtime as needed.

Qualifications

• Housekeeping or custodial experience.
• Knowledge of housekeeping materials, methods and practices.
• Knowledge of operation and care of janitorial equipment such as vacuums and scrubbing/polishing machines.

Responsibilities

• Dust and clean desks, tables, filing cabinets, offices, lobbies and labs.
• Replenish restroom supplies and manage inventory of supplies.
• Vacuum, shampoo carpets, and mop as assigned.
• Prepare room setups for meetings and events and reset classrooms as needed.
• Clean and sanitize walls, fixtures, glass, and refill dispensers.
• Empty trash and recycling and remove to proper dumpsters.
