Job summary

University of Kansas is seeking a Custodian for evening shifts to perform routine custodial tasks across offices, classrooms, and facilities. Responsibilities include cleaning, floor care, trash removal, and restroom sanitation, with a flexible schedule Sunday through Thursday from 10:30 pm to 7:00 am.

The role requires reliable, physically capable personnel who can work independently and follow safety procedures.

Qualifications

• Experience in cleaning large facilities such as offices, classrooms, and laboratories.
• Ability to operate, maintain, and troubleshoot janitorial equipment.
• Knowledge of cleaning chemicals and safety procedures.

Responsibilities

• Maintain offices, classrooms, and facilities according to schedule.
• Clean hallways, entrances, and exterior areas daily.
• Strip, wax, and polish floors and furniture as required.
• Disinfect restrooms and manage supply levels and waste removal.
• Assist with events and emergencies and report repairs as needed.
