Job summary

City of Blue Springs is seeking a Part-time Child Care Attendant to provide a safe, fun, and nurturing environment for children aged 3 months to 10 years at the Blue Springs Fieldhouse Parks and Recreation. The role covers morning hours from 8am to noon, totaling about 20 hours weekly.

Responsibilities include greeting families, recording attendance, leading activities, maintaining hygiene, and upholding safety protocols. CPR/First Aid certification is preferred; training may be provided.

Qualifications

• CPR and First Aid certification strongly preferred or willingness to obtain (training provided).
• Good judgment and decision-making skills are important.
• Stamina and energy for games and physical activities.

Responsibilities

• Greet each parent/guardian with a cheerful attitude.
• Record child names and follow safety procedures.
• Engage children with activities and interaction during care.
• Ensure hygiene and safe, sanitary environment; disinfect as needed.
• Communicate with parents, patrons, supervisors, and coworkers; report incidents to Supervisor.
