Job summary

hcaoa-careers in Charlotte, NC is seeking a Part Time Home Health Aide (HHA) to support an elderly client at home with personal care and companionship under an established plan of care.

The role covers bathing, dressing, grooming, transfers, mobility, and light housekeeping while ensuring safety. Work hours are 10 AM to 1 PM, Monday through Friday, with training available and a chance for advancement.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or GED certificate.
• Ability to read, write, speak and understand English as needed for the job.
• Possess a valid driver's license and have use of an insured automobile or access to adequate transportation for the job.

Responsibilities

• Personal care and assistance with daily living per care plan.
• Provide companionship and respite services for family.
• Stand-by assist with transfers for fall risk clients.
• Support an elderly female client (80s) for 2 hours daily.
• Occasional transportation within 5 miles, weekly.

Home Health Aide (HHA)

provides clients various personal care and homemaker/companion services in accordance with an established plan of care so that they can remain in their residence.

Essential Functions:

• Personal Care
  • Provide assistance with: bathing, dressing, grooming, skin care, back care, shampoo, oral hygiene, transfers, range of motion exercise, safe use of equipment and assistive devices (wheel chair), change of position, with toileting.
• Companion/Sitter/Household Management
  • Provide companionship and respite services for family
• Stand-by assist with transfers for fall risk clients
• Client is a woman in her 80s and the family needs immediate assistance for 2 hours daily.
• Occasional Transportation to run errands within 5 mile radius once a week.

Qualifications/Educational Requirements:

• High school graduate or G.E.D certificate
• Ability to read, write, speak and understand English as needed for the job
• Possess a valid driver's license and have use of an insured automobile or access to adequate transportation for the job

Must be:

• Willing to keep client active
• Good at communicating
• Have driver's license and car
