Job summary

The Centre Café at Lenawee Christian Ministries is a public-facing café and central gathering space within the Christian Family Centre. Café Team Members provide food service and hospitality to guests of all ages while delivering excellent customer service in a Christ-honoring manner.

This position will be working the morning shift, 6:00am - 1:00pm. This role requires attentiveness to customer needs, accuracy in food preparation and transactions, and a commitment to maintaining a clean,

Qualifications

• Previous server experience preferred.
• Current Food Handler's Card preferred.
• At least 18 years of age.
• Strong interpersonal and customer service skills; enjoys serving others.
• Hospitable, relational, and team-oriented.
• Dependable, punctual, and detail-oriented.
• Flexible availability, including the ability to work varying shifts.
• High-energy, organized, and efficient with a friendly demeanor.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a current Food Handler’s Card.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and fulfill all food and beverage orders in a timely and accurate manner.
• Operate the cash register and process transactions accurately and responsibly.
• Fill and maintain the ice bucket as needed.
• Wash and sanitize café dishes using the dish machine.
• Complete assigned opening and closing procedures.
• Clean and maintain café tables, counters, equipment, floors, and work areas.
• Provide consistent, friendly, and efficient customer service.
• Interact appropriately and respectfully with guests of all ages.
• Display a Christ-honoring attitude in all interactions.
