Job summary

Hilton Garden Inn Tacoma Downtown is seeking a part-time Server for the morning breakfast service. You will greet and engage guests, present menus, and assist patrons with food and beverage selections while maintaining professional appearance.

The role includes tending bar during evening shifts, clearing tables, stocking the bar area, and upholding sanitation standards to meet FM/state/local guidelines. Must have a current food handler permit and ability to lift 25 pounds.

Qualifications

• Must have a current food handlers permit
• Ability to stand for extended periods of time
• Previous restaurant service experience a plus
• Must be able to lift and carry 25 pounds

Responsibilities

• Evening servers will also need to tend bar (pouring and serving alcoholic drinks)
• Greeting, engaging, and serving guests
• Help patrons select food and beverages by presenting menu, offering cocktails and aperitifs (if applicable), suggesting courses, explaining menu items, and answering food preparation questions
• Maintain a high level of professional appearance and demeanor
• Clearing and cleaning tables as they are vacated
• Keep the bar area cleaned and well stocked
• Restocking items consistently throughout shift
• Listening and responding to guests' requests and complaints
• Maintain high sanitation standards throughout the area of responsibility, which will meet or exceed Federal, State, and Local standards
• Maintain control over food security through regular inventories, proper portioning, and correct lock up procedures and production methods
