Job summary

The Courtyard by Marriott in Matthews, NC is hiring a part-time Bistro Attendant to work mornings. The role involves serving, taking orders, and delivering food and beverages, including coffee and alcohol during PM shifts.

This position requires a friendly, customer-focused attitude and the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment. Ideal candidates will have prior Bistro or similar food-outlet experience, a high school diploma, strong communication skills, and familiarity

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Friendly, outgoing, customer service–oriented personality.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Accuracy and attention to detail.
• Problem solving and decision making skills.
• Hands-on experience with cash register and POS systems.
• Able to work in a fast paced environment.
• Ability to read and process orders as they appear on the screen.
• Food Safety Certification or ability to obtain certification.
• Must be able to multi-task and prioritize tasks when needed.

Responsibilities

• Takes customer orders, inputs orders into order system, collects payment and provides change.
• Prepares coffee, espresso drinks, and other beverages, including alcohol (PM shifts).
• Prepares food in a timely manner, per brand standards, using a rapid cook/hybrid oven.
• Assists in Food & Beverage areas including busing, cleaning and resetting tables.
• Counts bank at end of shift, completes cashier reports, resolves discrepancies, secures bank.
• Performs general cleaning of food & beverage prep areas and lobby areas.
