Job summary

Thistle Health in Vacaville, CA is seeking an Associate, Cook to support daily production on the kitchen floor in a high-volume setting. Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum of 2+ years of experience in a large-scale, high-volume kitchen environment.
• Experience with batch cooking in a professional food production environment.
• Knowledge of HACCP principles and food safety and sanitation standards; ServSafe preferred.
• Ability to follow recipes with strict adherence to specs and quality standards.

Responsibilities

• Execute daily food preparation and production activities per recipes and schedules.
• Support leadership in maintaining quality, food safety, and efficiency.
• Operate and maintain commercial kitchen equipment (ovens, blixers, mixers, etc.).
• Identify equipment issues and report to leadership to ensure safety and continuity.
• Maintain GMPs, food safety regulations, and company policies at all times.
• Prepare workstations with ingredients, tools and equipment for efficient flow.
• Monitor production and safety metrics and document logs and records.
• Ensure proper allergen management, FIFO/FEFO inventory practices, and labeling.
• Maintain workstation hygiene and sanitation; stay updated with new procedures.
