Job summary

Family First Development is seeking dedicated staff to support individuals with developmental disabilities in Maine. Responsibilities include following individualized plans, assisting with daily living tasks, coordinating appointments, and promoting community involvement while maintaining health and safety.

Applicants should have DSP or related health/human services experience, a high school diploma or GED, be at least 18, and able to pass background checks and obtain necessary immunizations or

Qualifications

• One year of Direct Support Professional (DSP) experience or health/human services experience preferred.
• Proof of High School Diploma or GED required.
• Must be at least 18 years old and legally eligible to work in the United States.
• Pass a criminal, drug, and background check and have a valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Follow detailed support plans with client goals and respect preferences.
• Provide domestic support tasks: cooking, cleaning, medication assistance, scheduling medical appointments, shopping, transportation, and housing management.
• Help clients access social activities and community resources; assist with transportation and participation in events.
• Ensure clients’ health and safety and document activities per Maine state guidelines using ClearCare/WellSky.
