Job summary

Advanced Space is offering a 2027 Mission Design Summer Intern position at our Westminster, Colorado headquarters. You will join the astrodynamics team to work on spacecraft mission design projects, trajectory analysis, and advanced spaceflight concepts under senior engineers.

You'll gain hands-on experience solving real astrodynamics challenges, conducting mission design research, and contributing to active space missions while applying Python, MATLAB, and numerical methods in a supportive

Qualifications

• Pursuing a degree in aerospace engineering, physics, mathematics, or another engineering discipline.
• Strong foundation in orbital mechanics and programming.
• Interest in spacecraft mission design, navigation, guidance and control, optimization, or estimation theory.

Responsibilities

• Support mission design research and development on summer projects.
• Collaborate with astrodynamics engineers on trajectory analysis and spaceflight concepts.
• Solve challenging astrodynamics problems and contribute to simulations.
• Present findings through reports and presentations to the team.
