Job summary

Advanced Space invites you to join our Systems Engineering team as a 2027 Summer Intern in Westminster, CO. You will assist in developing and evaluating system requirements, architecture, interfaces, and trade studies while gaining hands-on experience with real space missions.

You’ll be mentored by engineers, contribute to documentation and reviews, and learn lifecycle processes across mission development in a collaborative, multidisciplinary environment.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a degree in an engineering field such as systems, aerospace, mechanical, electrical, computer engineering or computer science.
• Foundational understanding of systems engineering concepts like requirements, interfaces, lifecycle processes.
• Familiarity with spacecraft or mission systems from coursework or projects.
• Completion of relevant coursework in design, flight dynamics, control, electronics, embedded systems, modeling/simulation, or capstone projects.

Responsibilities

• Work on spacecraft and mission systems development, architecture, requirements, analysis, and integration.
• Apply systems engineering practices and support lifecycle activities.
• Prepare technical documentation and participate in reviews and presentations.
