Job summary

Vineyard Montessori School seeks Teachers for Infant, Toddler, Primary and Elementary classes, to support Lead Teacher in a nurturing Montessori environment. You will engage with children, guide routines, and foster independence, curiosity, and love of learning.

Full-time, year-round roles with salary ranging $45,000–$55,000 per year. Total compensation may include relocation stipend for Martha’s Vineyard. Montessori certification/training is a plus; ongoing professional growth encouraged.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to ensure safety and well-being of students.
• Open to feedback and dedicated to professional growth.
• Maintain confidentiality and exercise discretion.
• Genuine interest in child wellbeing, development and Montessori education.
• Motivated to earn Montessori teaching certification paid for by VMS.

Responsibilities

• Support Lead Teacher in creating a nurturing Montessori learning environment.
• Actively engage with children, guiding daily routines and promoting independence.
• Support individual and small-group learning and observe developmental needs.
• Maintain a calm, organized, and safe classroom aligned with Montessori values.
• Collaborate with Lead Teacher to ensure safety and readiness of each child.
