Job summary

Ohana Child Development Center, located in Bandwidth Raleigh NC Headquarters, seeks qualified, passionate guides for ages 3 to 6 years old who are dedicated to providing respectful, cognitively stimulating Montessori-based programming. We partner with Bandwidth families to support each child’s development and provide ongoing feedback to parents.

Responsibilities include planning and implementing Montessori-informed curriculum, observing and documenting progress, maintaining a safe classroom,

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• 3 years working in early childhood education.
• Montessori/RIE caregiving techniques; Positive Discipline.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate with a lead guide to plan, implement, and manage the classroom using Montessori principles.
• Manage physical care of children.
• Follow all procedures, licensing guidelines, and daily care routines.
• Maintain visual supervision and child safety at all times.
• Observe and document observations regularly for each child.
• Prepare and maintain the learning environment based on child needs.
• Keep a safe, clean, and organized classroom.
• Model pro-social behavior and use positive discipline when needed.
• Build respectful relationships with families, children, and co-teachers.
• Meet regularly with co-teachers to discuss observations, design, and challenges.
• Provide developmental reports to parents and conduct conferences three times per year.
• Communicate important information to co-teachers (management).
• Maintain a professional self-image and embody Bandwidth and Ohana values.
• Keep up with required training hours & certifications.
• Be open to applying new teaching strategies as directed by the Director and Ohana Board.
• Attend faculty meetings regularly.
