Apple Montessori Schools is seeking a Teacher Assistant Preschool in Edgewater, NJ. The role supports Lead Teachers in a Montessori setting from 1:00pm to 6:30pm, Monday through Friday, helping children explore, grow, and develop independence.

You will contribute warmth, guidance, and encouragement as children build confidence, friendships, and curiosity under supervision. A nurturing, values-driven environment awaits dedicated caregivers.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• CPR / First Aid certification or willingness to obtain upon hire.
• Love of children.
• Physically able to kneel, bend, squat, lift, push, pull, and carry children.
• Understanding of health and safety guidelines.
• Ability to multi-task in a changing environment.

Responsibilities

• Ensure a safe, clean, and engaging learning environment for all students.
• Collaborate with the Lead Teacher to support and implement lesson plans.
• Maintain accurate student records and assist with family communication.
• Encourage positive self-image while supporting individuality, independence, and creativity.
• Model appropriate social behavior and actively engage with students.
• Participate in staff meetings, professional development, trainings, and mentorship programs.
