Apple Montessori Schools in Princeton, NJ is seeking a Teacher Assistant Preschool to support lead teachers and foster growth in a Montessori setting. You will help children explore, build independence, and develop confidence in a warm, nurturing environment.

You will assist with lesson implementation, maintain student records, and communicate with families while promoting safety and positive social development throughout the day.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• CPR/First Aid Certification or willingness to obtain upon hire.
• A genuine love of children.
• Physically able to kneel, bend, squat, lift, push, pull, and carry children.
• An understanding of health and safety guidelines.
• Capacity to multi-task and function in an ever-changing environment.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.

Responsibilities

• Ensure a safe, clean, and engaging learning environment for all students
• Collaborate with the Lead Teacher to support and implement lesson plans
• Maintain accurate student records and assist with family communication
• Encourage positive self-image while supporting individuality, independence, and creativity
• Model appropriate social behavior and actively engage with students
• Participate in staff meetings, professional development, trainings, and mentorship programs
