Job summary

Sonnet Montessori is seeking a Lead Educator to create a nurturing, innovative learning environment where children thrive. You will plan developmentally appropriate curricula, observe progress, and maintain a positive classroom culture while engaging with families and colleagues.

Ideal candidates will hold DHS qualifications for a Lead Educator, have experience in licensed early childhood settings, and demonstrate strong communication and teamwork.

Qualifications

• Must meet Department of Human Services (DHS) qualifications for a Lead Educator in a licensed child care center.
• Demonstrated experience working with young students in a licensed early childhood education setting.
• Knowledge of early childhood development principles and best practices.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Curriculum planning and implementation of age-appropriate lesson plans.
• Observe and assess student development and tailor instruction accordingly.
• Establish and maintain a positive, safe classroom culture.
• Provide daily parent communication on student progress and activities.
• Engage in ongoing professional development and collaboration with colleagues.
