You will assist with materials, record-keeping, and maintaining an orderly classroom while collaborating with educators and families.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of and ability to assist in reading, writing and mathematics.
• Ability to communicate with students, staff and guardians professionally.
• Excellent verbal and written expression using proper grammar.

Responsibilities

• Helps the classroom teacher prepare and distribute lesson materials.
• Instructs students under supervision of the classroom teacher.
• Assists in maintaining individual student records as needed.
• Keeps the classroom neat, clean and orderly to support learning.
• Uses resources to support learning activities in the classroom and community.
• Demonstrates effective classroom techniques and fosters respect and independent thinking.
• Works cooperatively with parents and guardians to build confidence in the teacher.
• Guides children to work and play harmoniously with others.
• Carries out other duties assigned by the principal and Choice Schools Associates.
