Job summary

Catholic Charities Brooklyn and Queens, Inc. is seeking an Early Head Start Teacher-Aide to assist in delivering Montessori-based educational activities.

Candidates will support the Teacher and Assistant Teacher in creating a nurturing environment for children and maintaining compliance documentation, as well as engaging families in the program. This role requires a high school diploma, preferably with 12-24 college credits.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year experience in a pre-school classroom preferred.
• Familiarization with child development and parenting techniques required.
• Ability to lift and carry supplies and equipment between 5-10 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Assist Teacher and Assistant Teacher to plan and execute age-appropriate activities.
• Maintain written documentation and reports for compliance standards.
• Facilitate parent involvement and promote positive growth.
