Job summary

Tucson Unified School District is seeking a Teacher Assistant for a temporary assignment for the 2026-2027 school year at Drachman Montessori K-8 Magnet. The role is a 0.75 FTE position, amounting to 6 hours per day, with a 9‑month work calendar.

The ideal candidate will assist teachers with classroom activities, support student learning, and comply with district policies. English proficiency and experience with youth are required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Completion of an AZ Dept. of Education-approved Academic Assessment Test
• OR Associate’s (or higher) degree
• OR Two-years (60 Semester-Hour credits) of post high school general education studies
• One year of experience working with youth
• Speak, read and write in English

Responsibilities

• Assists teachers in performing their classroom teaching responsibilities. This is a temporary assignment.
