Montessori Teacher Assistant (Grades 4-6) in Durham, NC, US

Start Date: August 10,2026

An MSD Assistant Teacher works in the classroom under a credentialed Montessori Lead Teacher, and assists in creating a safe, nurturing Montessori environment that fosters children’s independence, critical thinking, and love for learning. This role strives to develop an understanding of the Montessori educational philosophy by preparing the environment, observing students, and reviewing and practicing lessons given by the Teacher. Specific duties of the Assistant Teacher are outlined in the Daily Duties of the Teaching Assistant document, in addition to the FULL POSITION DESCRIPTION.

Minimum Salary starting at $41,000

Hours: 7:50 – 3:15, Monday – Friday, August 10, 2026 – June 4, 2027

Teaching credential from an MACTE accredited institution is strongly preferred, but not required.
