Guidepost Montessori is seeking an Assistant Guide to support a mixed-age classroom (Infant, Toddler, and Children’s House ages 3–6) at our Deerfield site. You will help create a calm, engaging environment where children explore, learn, and grow at their own pace.

You’ll observe children, assist in preparing learning spaces, support group activities, and build warm relationships with children and families. The role emphasizes respect, patience, and care, with opportunities for Montessori

Qualifications

• Experience working with children ages 3–6 in a school or childcare setting
• Positive, adaptable, and collaborative mindset
• Genuine love for working with young children
• Interest in learning and growing within the Montessori approach (prior Montessori experience welcome but not required)

Responsibilities

• Observe children closely to understand and support their individual needs
• Prepare and maintain a beautiful, orderly classroom environment
• Support individual and small-group learning activities
