Job summary

Guidepost Montessori is hiring an Assistant Guide for our South Naperville location to support a mixed-age classroom and help children ages 0–6 develop independence, confidence, and a love of learning.

You’ll assist in preparing welcoming learning spaces, support individual and small-group activities, and collaborate with Lead Guides to foster a calm, respectful classroom where children thrive.

Qualifications

• Experience with children ages 3–6 in a school or childcare setting.
• Positive, adaptable, and collaborative mindset.
• Genuine love for working with young children.
• Interest in Montessori approach; prior Montessori experience welcome but not required.

Responsibilities

• Observe and understand individual needs of children.
• Help maintain a beautiful, orderly classroom environment.
• Support individual and small-group learning activities.
• Build warm, respectful relationships with children and families.
• Collaborate with Lead Guides and team members to foster a strong classroom community.
