Job summary

HDR is seeking a Montana Area Power Market Sector Leader to guide growth of HDR’s Power program in Montana. This role focuses on client development, market diversification and talent development to support project needs.

You will work with leaders to ensure operations meet growth expectations and engage with external partners and industry groups. You will lead staff, manage projects, and align resources with workload while expanding HDR’s presence in Montana’s power sector.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, planning or related field.
• 10+ years of industry experience.
• Experience developing and managing strategic marketing programs for planning/engineering services.
• Experience developing and managing client relationships and pursuits.
• Experience with staff development including recruiting and career growth.
• Active involvement with industry associations and market visibility.
• Ability to work with regional and area leadership teams.
• Commitment to HDR values and employee-owned culture.

Responsibilities

• Grow, monitor and execute HDR's Power services portfolio in the area.
• Develop markets, diversify work and expand client relationships.
• Pursue opportunities in consulting, advisory, owners engineering and asset management.
• Establish external teaming relationships and represent HDR in industry groups.
• Provide leadership and project management support; act as Principal-in-Charge on select projects.
• Coordinate with leaders to align resources with workload and marketing efforts.
• Drive client growth, including staffing for business development and marketing.
