Job summary

Sentara Norfolk General Hospital in Norfolk, VA is seeking a Monitor Tech to observe, interpret, and document EKG tracings on telemetry-monitored patients. You will promptly notify appropriate personnel of dysrhythmias and operate the telemetry system to its full capacity, ensuring safe functioning of equipment.

The role is full-time, dayshift, with competitive base pay and comprehensive benefits. A HS diploma and EKG/Monitor Tech certification are required, and completion of a monitoring

The Monitor Tech observes, recognizes, interprets, evaluates, and documents EKG tracings on telemetry-monitored patients in order to detect deviations from patient's norm. Promptly notifies appropriate personnel of dysrhythmias. Operates and utilizes monitoring system to full capacity. Ensures proper and safe functioning of the telemetry equipment.

Compensation

We provide market-competitive compensation packages, inclusive of base pay, incentives, and benefits. The base pay range for full-time employment is $19.55 - $28.69 hourly.

Additional compensation may be available for this role, such as shift differentials, standby/on-call pay, overtime, shift premiums, extra-shift incentives, or bonus opportunities. Compensation within the range may vary based on qualifications, experience, location, market conditions, and business needs.
