Qualifications

• Must complete Sentara Basic Arrhythmia competency tool during orientation.

Responsibilities

• Observe, recognize, interpret, evaluate and document EKG tracings on telemetry-monitored patients to detect deviations from normal rhythm.
• Promptly notify appropriate personnel of dysrhythmias.
• Operate and utilize the monitoring system to its full capacity.
• Ensure proper and safe functioning of telemetry equipment.
