Sentara Princess Anne Hospital in Virginia Beach, VA is seeking a Full-Time Night Shift Monitor Tech for Telemetry Monitor Surveillance. The role involves observing, interpreting, and documenting EKG tracings on telemetry-monitored patients, promptly notifying staff of dysrhythmias, and ensuring telemetry equipment operates safely.

Qualifications include a High School Diploma with a monitor technician surveillance program or equivalent experience, and a 36-hour weekly night shift.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma and completion of a monitor technician surveillance program/course (Required)
• OR High School Diploma and 1 year experience in monitor technician surveillance within the last 5 years may be accepted in substitute of a monitor tech surveillance program/course
• Candidates who have not completed a monitor technician surveillance program must complete a certificate program within 90 days of hire
• 1 year of experience in monitor technician surveillance/EKG monitoring within the last 5 years may be accepted in lieu of a monitor tech surveillance program/course

Responsibilities

• Observes, recognizes, interprets, evaluates, and documents EKG tracings on telemetry-monitored patients
• Detects deviations from patient’s norm and promptly notifies appropriate personnel of dysrhythmias
• Operates and utilizes monitoring system to full capacity
