Qualifications

• 1 year of monitor technician surveillance/EKG monitoring experience within the last 5 years may substitute for the program/course.

Responsibilities

• Observe, recognize, interpret, and document EKG tracings on telemetry-monitored patients to detect deviations from patient norms.
• Promptly notify appropriate personnel of dysrhythmias.
• Operate and optimize the telemetry monitoring system to its full capacity and ensure equipment safety.
