Sentara Williamsburg Regional Medical Center in Williamsburg, VA is seeking a full-time Monitor Tech for Telemetry Monitor Surveillance on the day shift (7am–7pm). You will observe, interpret, and document EKG tracings for telemetry patients and promptly notify staff of any dysrhythmias.

A high school diploma and completion of a monitor technician surveillance program are required, or 1 year of recent experience. Certification within 90 days of hire is expected.

Qualifications

• Education: High School Diploma and monitor technician surveillance program (Required).
• Alternate: High School Diploma with 1 year recent monitor technician surveillance/EKG experience accepted.
• Non-completion requires a certificate program within 90 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Observes, recognizes, interprets, evaluates, and documents EKG tracings for telemetry patients.
• Detects deviations from the patient’s norm and notifies appropriate personnel of dysrhythmias.
• Operates the telemetry monitoring system and ensures proper functioning of equipment.
