An established industry player is seeking a dedicated Monitor Tech to join their team in St. Louis. This full-time role involves monitoring patient cardiac rhythms during three 12-hour shifts per week, including weekends and holidays. The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma and complete a monitor tech course. Key responsibilities include ongoing surveillance of cardiac monitors and immediate communication of rhythm changes to RNs. Day Shift - Rotating weekends and holidays
Training during day shift for first 6-8 weeks.
This is a full-time position that is eligible for benefits with no waiting period. It involves three 12-hour shifts per week with weekend and holiday rotation. The hours are 6:30 pm - 7:00 am.
The Monitor Tech is responsible for ongoing surveillance of patient cardiac monitors and provides RNs and/or clinicians with immediate notification of any changes in cardiac rhythms.
Reviews patient information to determine normal heart rhythm pattern, current pattern, and prior variances.
Works cooperatively as part of a team.
Education: High school diploma, G.E.D., and/or current Mercy coworker. Completion of monitor tech course and/or passing score of 85% on monitor tech competency exam.
Experience: Certifications: CRAT certification within 1 year of hire.
Other: Basic computer skills. Attention to detail and ability to multi-task are essential. Excellent communication skills and ability to make quick decisions under pressure are a must.
Preferred Experience: Experience preferred but not mandatory.
