Overview

The Monitoring Technician is responsible for surveillance of patient cardiac monitors, providing immediate notification to RNs and clinicians of changes in cardiac rhythms. Works as part of a team, performing duties consistent with our mission, values, and standards.

Qualifications
  • High school diploma, G.E.D., or current Mercy coworker.
  • Monitor tech course completion and/or passing score of 85% on competency exam.
  • CRAT certification within 1 year of hire.
  • Basic computer skills, attention to detail, multi-tasking, excellent communication, quick decision-making under pressure.
  • Preferred: Experience (not mandatory).
