Job summary

Overlake Medical Center & Clinics is seeking a monitor technician to continuously observe cardiac rhythms and remotely monitor patients meeting criteria. You will recognize arrhythmias, document on monitor strips, and notify the assigned RN of any changes. For remote video observing, document observations in the EHR.

Salary is hourly, with a 0.75 FTE schedule on 12-hour night shifts. Education required is a high school diploma or equivalent, and at least six months in a health-related field.

Qualifications

• Six months of health-related field experience required.
• Must pass arrhythmia identification test prior to hire or within introductory period.

Responsibilities

• Continuously observe cardiac rhythms and remotely monitor patients who meet criteria.
• Recognize arrhythmias and document on monitor strips.

The monitor technician is responsible for the continuous observation of cardiac rhythms and remote video observation of patients who meet remote monitoring criteria. Techs are to recognize cardiac arrhythmias, document on monitor strips, and notify the assigned RN of arrhythmia changes. Additionally, if remote video observing, the tech documents observations in the electronic health record.

• Previous cardiac monitor tech experience preferred.
