Job summary

Overlake Medical Center in Bellevue, WA is seeking a part-time monitor technician to provide continuous cardiac rhythm observation and remote patient video monitoring.

You will document findings, recognize arrhythmias, and promptly inform the assigned RN, with duties also recorded in the electronic health record.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Six months’ experience in a health-related field required.
• Must pass arrhythmia identification test prior to hire or within introductory period.

Responsibilities

• Monitor cardiac rhythms continuously and observe patients remotely as applicable.
• Recognize arrhythmias and document on monitor strips.
• Notify RN of arrhythmia changes and document observations in EHR.

The monitor technician is responsible for the continuous observation of cardiac rhythms and remote video observation of patients who meet remote monitoring criteria. Techs are to recognize cardiac arrhythmias, document on monitor strips, and notify the assigned RN of arrhythmia changes.Additionally, if remote video observing, the tech documents observations in the electronic health record.

Schedule:

24 hours per week

12-hour shifts/Nights

Minimum Qualifications:

Education:

• High school diploma or equivalent required.

Experience:

• Six months’ experience in a health-related field required.
• Previous cardiac monitor tech experience preferred.
• Must be able to successfully pass the arrhythmia identification test prior to hire, or within introductory period.
