Job summary

Overlake Hospital Medical Center is seeking a Monitor Technician to continuously observe cardiac rhythms and remotely monitor patients meeting criteria. You will recognize arrhythmias, document strips, and alert the RN of changes.

When performing remote video observation, you will document observations in the electronic health record. The role requires a high school diploma and at least six months in a health-related field, with prior monitor tech experience preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Six months’ experience in a health-related field required.
• Previous cardiac monitor tech experience preferred.
• Must pass arrhythmia identification test prior to hire or within introductory period.

Pay range: - Hourly $27.98 - $41.97

The monitor technician is responsible for the continuous observation of cardiac rhythms and remote video observation of patients who meet remote monitoring criteria. Techs are to recognize cardiac arrhythmias, document on monitor strips, and notify the assigned RN of arrhythmia changes. Additionally, if remote video observing, the tech documents observations in the electronic health record.

Schedule: 0.75 FTE 12-hour shifts/Nights

Minimum Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience: Six months’ experience in a health-related field required.
• Previous cardiac monitor tech experience preferred.
• Must be able to successfully pass the arrhythmia identification test prior to hire, or within introductory period.
