Job summary

Ashley Regional Medical Center is seeking a Monitor Tech to perform vigilant telemetry monitoring and support nursing staff in a fast-paced environment. This PRN role requires sharp attention to patient status, accurate interpretation of monitors, and prompt reporting of any abnormalities.

The position emphasizes faultless equipment checks, adherence to policies, and ongoing collaboration with the care team to ensure patient safety and timely interventions.

Qualifications

• Requires critical thinking, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision.
• Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.
• Perform continual surveillance of multiple monitors.
• Identifies significant arrhythmias and/or signs of patient distress and intervenes appropriately.
• Reports abnormal telemetry findings or changes to the nursing staff.
• Tests equipment for proper working order and reports problems to the supervisor.
• Review and comply with LifePoint Code of Conduct and all relevant policies.

Required Skills

• Reports abnormal assessment and telemetry findings or changes in patient physical, mental, and emotional conditions to the nursing staff.
• Tests equipment for proper working order. Reports on equipment problems to the supervisor.
• Review and comply with LifePoint Code of Conduct and all relevant Company and Division policies and procedures.

Certifications: Handle with Care (HWC) within 6 months of hire/transfer
