Job summary

Ashley Regional Medical Center in Vernal, UT is seeking a Monitor Tech to join our patient-care team on a PRN, varied schedule. You will monitor multiple telemetry displays, identify significant arrhythmias, and promptly report changes to the nursing staff.

Requirements include a high school diploma or equivalent and Handle with Care certification within 6 months of hire. The role demands critical thinking, calm under stress, and the ability to work with minimal supervision in a busy hospital

Qualifications

• Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision.
• Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.
• Perform continual surveillance of multiple monitors.
• Identifies significant arrhythmias and/or signs of patient distress and intervenes appropriately.
• Identifies and corrects for artifacts.
• Reports abnormal assessment and telemetry findings or changes in patient physical, mental, and emotional conditions to the nursing staff.
• Tests equipment for proper working order. Reports on equipment problems to the supervisor.
• Review and comply with LifePoint Code of Conduct and all relevant Company and Division policies and procedures.
