Job summary

Baptist Health Floyd in New Albany, IN is seeking a Monitor Tech for the Central Monitoring Unit. This part-time position covers 12 hours weekly during night shifts (7pm–7am).

You will support nursing staff by continuously observing cardiac monitors and ensuring patient safety. Responsibilities include recognizing and documenting arrhythmias, promptly reporting findings to the appropriate nurse and the telemetry equipment manager.

Qualifications

• Must complete hospital dysrhythmia course upon hire.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

Job Duties

The Monitor Tech assists nurses in the administration of patient care by providing continuous observation of the cardiac monitors.

Included in this role will be the recognition and strip documentation of cardiac arrhythmias with prompt reporting to the appropriate nurse and telemetry equipment manager.

Qualifications

• Successful completion of hospital dysrhythmia course upon hire.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
