Job summary

Baptist Health Floyd in New Albany, IN seeks a Monitor Tech for the Central Monitoring Unit. This full-time night position (36 hours weekly) involves continuous observation of cardiac monitors and prompt reporting of arrhythmias to nurses and the telemetry equipment manager.

Requirements include successful completion of a hospital dysrhythmia course at hire and a high school diploma or equivalent. EOE. Located about 10 minutes from downtown Louisville at 1850 State Street, New Albany, IN 47150.

Job Duties:
The Monitor Tech assists nurses in the administration of patient care by providing continuous observation of the cardiac monitors. Included in this role will be the recognition and strip documentation of cardiac arrhythmias with prompt reporting to the appropriate nurse and telemetry equipment manager.

Qualifications:

Successful completion of hospital dysrhythmia course upon hire.

High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
