Job summary

Baptist Health Floyd is seeking a Monitor Tech for the Central Monitoring Unit in New Albany, IN. The position is full-time, 36 hours per week, with night shifts from 7pm to 7am. This role is benefit-eligible and located 10 minutes from downtown Louisville.

The Monitor Tech will observe cardiac monitors, document arrhythmias, and report findings promptly to nursing staff and the telemetry equipment manager. High school diploma preferred; hospital dysrhythmia course required upon hire.

Qualifications

• Successful completion of hospital dysrhythmia course upon hire.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide continuous observation of cardiac monitors to assist nursing staff.
• Identify and document cardiac arrhythmias and report promptly to the appropriate nurse or telemetry supervisor.

The Monitor Tech assists nurses in the administration of patient care by providing continuous observation of the cardiac monitors. Included in this role will be the recognition and strip documentation of cardiac arrhythmias with prompt reporting to the appropriate nurse and telemetry equipment manager.
