Nextdoor is seeking a Product Designer for the Monetization pillar to drive design vision and end-to-end experiences that generate sustainable revenue while strengthening neighborhood connections.

You will collaborate with product managers, engineers, and researchers to deliver measurable business impact without compromising trust. Hybrid in-office and remote work options across multiple U.S. cities and London.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in UX design, product design, or a related field.
• Deep expertise in interaction design, information architecture, and usability principles.
• Experience designing monetization experiences, ideally within marketplaces or social platforms.
• Experience unifying fragmented product experiences into cohesive end-to-end journeys.
• Strong understanding of qualitative and quantitative research methods.
• Proficiency in design tools like Figma and related software.
• Experience contributing to design systems across surfaces.
• Ability to lead design strategy and influence cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead design and UX strategy for monetization experiences, balancing user needs, business goals, and technical constraints to drive measurable revenue impact.
• Design cohesive, end-to-end journeys from discovery to long-term value, reducing friction at each step.
• Advocate for a user-first monetization approach integrated into core journeys without harming engagement or trust.
• Use qualitative and quantitative research to inform decisions, collaborating with researchers and data analysts.
• Develop and refine user flows, wireframes, and prototypes to improve engagement, conversion, and retention.
• Drive experimentation and A/B testing with product and analytics teams to optimize revenue impact.
• Contribute to and evolve the design system for consistent UI across surfaces.
• Communicate UX rationale to stakeholders, including executives, with data-driven storytelling.
• Mentor designers and foster a culture of learning within the team.
• Ensure accessibility and inclusivity across monetization experiences.
