Job summary

Nextdoor is seeking a Product Designer for the Monetization pillar to shape experiences that generate sustainable revenue while strengthening neighborhood connections. You’ll collaborate with product managers, engineers, and researchers to deliver end-to-end experiences that balance business impact with user trust.

You’ll join a small design team, work in an AI-first environment, and help evolve our design system while mentoring peers.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in UX design or product design with a track record shipping user-centered products.
• Deep expertise in interaction design, information architecture, and usability.
• Experience designing monetization experiences in marketplaces or consumer platforms.
• Ability to unify fragmented product experiences into cohesive journeys.
• Strong qualitative and quantitative research synthesis for design decisions.

Responsibilities

• Lead design strategy for monetization experiences balancing user needs, business goals, and constraints.
• Design end-to-end journeys from discovery to repeat value with reduced friction.
• Advocate for user-first monetization integrated into core journeys.
• Use qualitative and quantitative research with researchers and data analysts to validate hypotheses.
• Develop user flows, wireframes, and prototypes to improve engagement and retention.
• Drive experimentation and A/B testing with product and analytics teams.
• Contribute to and evolve the design system for consistency across surfaces.
• Communicate UX rationale to executives with data-driven storytelling; mentor other designers.
• Ensure accessibility and inclusivity in monetization experiences.
