Job summary

Unity Technologies seeks a backend-focused engineer to design, implement, and maintain its Monetization platform and services. You will enable advertising and in-app purchases, write scalable code, and ensure timely delivery of product functionality.

The role requires strong API design, data processing, and ML integration with modern cloud infrastructure. Collaboration with product teams is essential for end-to-end delivery.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in CS/IS/IT or related field.
• Three years of related work experience.
• Experience designing APIs and backend services and systems.
• Experience with Golang, Nodejs, TypeScript and Python code.
• Knowledge of SQL, NoSQL and key-value stores including Postgres, MongoDB, Redis.
• Experience with BigQuery or other data warehousing solutions.
• Experience with streaming platforms and queues (Kafka, NATS).
• Experience using Terraform for cloud infrastructure.
• Experience creating Python Notebooks for data analysis.
• Experience coordinating with product and delivering end-to-end products.
• Proficient English for professional communication.
• Work visa sponsorship is not available.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, test, review, and maintain Unity’s Monetization platform, product, and services.
• Enable developers to build businesses through advertising and in-app purchases.
• Write high-quality, scalable code supporting existing and future product functionality.
• Ensure successful delivery of product functionality.
• Handle system scalability and performance.
• Process large volumes of data and ML-oriented requirements to advance machine-learning use.
• Manage and deliver individual project priorities, deadlines, and deliverables.
• Translate business requirements into engineering features.
