Job summary

Unity Technologies is hiring a Staff Software Engineer to build the data infrastructure powering our ads ecosystem. You will own end-to-end data pipelines and feature data used for bidding, attribution, and ranking, shaping ML workloads and experimentation at global scale.

The role focuses on reliable batch/streaming systems, observability, and performance, collaborating with ML, backend, and product teams to deliver durable infrastructure for offline training and online serving.

Qualifications

• Experience designing and operating large-scale distributed systems in production.
• Hands-on experience building ETL/ELT pipelines with Python/Java/SQL.
• Familiarity with Spark or Flink for batch and streaming processing.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and operate scalable data pipelines and feature datasets for ads optimization and ML.
• Own offline data flows from ingestion to feature-ready datasets with emphasis on correctness and SLA.
• Develop and maintain batch/streaming systems (Python/Java/SQL) with performance and reliability in mind.
• Contribute to the Feature Store and online serving integration with high-throughput services.
