Job summary

OpenAI, based in San Francisco, seeks a senior communications leader to shape how we communicate about its ads and monetization. You will define the global narrative and lead campaigns across product milestones, building programs that explain our approach clearly and credibly.

You will work with Product, GTM, Marketing, Policy, Legal and Partnerships to anticipate opportunities, manage risks, and scale with trust.

Qualifications

• 12+ years of communications experience, with depth in ads and monetization at a high-growth tech company.
• Strong editorial judgment and media instinct with proven coverage.
• Ability to advise senior leaders and navigate high-visibility environments.

Responsibilities

• Define and lead communications strategy for OpenAI’s ads and monetization initiatives from narrative development to launches.
• Build a differentiated story about ads, value for users, businesses and ecosystem.
• Partner with Product, GTM, and Marketing to deliver campaigns across earned, owned, and social channels.
