Job summary

Bliffert Lumber in Portage, WI is seeking an Inside Sales Associate to be the first point of contact for contractors and homeowners. You will support daily sales operations, assist with quoting and order processing, and help maintain exceptional service standards.

You’ll gain hands-on experience with building materials, product knowledge, and relationship management, while working a Monday–Friday day schedule with occasional Saturday when needed.

Qualifications

• Previous customer service or sales experience preferred.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to build rapport and establish relationships with customers.
• Basic computer proficiency and ability to learn company systems.
• Ability to stand, sit, walk, and navigate stairs throughout the workday.

Responsibilities

• As an Inside Sales Associate, be the first point of contact for customers, assisting contractors and homeowners with solutions.
• Support daily sales operations, assist with quoting and order processing, and help maintain service standards.
• Enter and process customer orders accurately using company systems and prepare quotes and related documents.
• Explain product features, benefits, pricing, and credit terms, collaborating with the sales team to support opportunities.
